About Me

I am a fellowship-trained urologist where I care for patients with urological cancers (kidney, adrenal, bladder, prostate, testicular, and penile cancer) as well as complex kidney stones, enlarged prostates, and male voiding dysfunction. I specialize in offering state-of-the-art minimally invasive treatments, both laparoscopic and robotic, to improve the recovery process and provide a better experience for patients.

Like most doctors, I pursued a medical career because of my love for the sciences and a desire to take care of people and their families. During my medical training, I was drawn to urology because it enables me to better a patients’ quality of life while using cutting-edge technology to treat various conditions. I also have the opportunity to care for patients of various ages, making each patient and every day exciting.

When treating patients, I tailor the treatment approach to each person’s condition and overall goals. I work closely with medical oncologists, nephrologists, and radiation oncologists to deliver the latest advancements in care. I also educate and support patients so they can be an integral part of their treatment and make empowered decisions. I am involved in clinical research to improve prostate cancer detection and post-operative prostatectomy outcomes.

I have also sought to further my personal growth and learn from those from varying backgrounds. I have lived in Spain, Peru, Chile, India, South Africa, and have studied in China, among other countries.  I speak Spanish and take pride in being able to connect with the Latino population of South Florida.
